If you are a new distance learning student, you will find everything you need to know about getting started, preparing for class and making the most of your college experience.
When you become a student, you will have your own private account called myBama. Here you will be able to see your class schedule and grades. You'll be able to order textbooks, see updates from professors and have access to all the resources of The University of Alabama, including the library online. It's easy to use.
ALL STUDENTS MUST BE ADMITTED TO THE UNIVERSITY PRIOR TO ENROLLING IN COURSES THROUGH MYBAMA. If you are not admitted, follow the admissions instructions.
If you have been admitted to The University of Alabama and are a current student, register for classes through the myBama. Click on the Student tab and follow the instructions to register for a distance course.
All students should be advised prior to registering for coursework. Academic advising is conducted in the individual colleges. Please allow up to two weeks after admission for advising.
The University of Alabama Supply Store is your online source for official University of Alabama textbooks, apparel, and gifts. Visit the University Supply Store to place your order. Textbooks can also be purchased through myBama.
Your Crimson account is created for you when you first enroll. This is your official University of Alabama email address. All communications about events, registration, and financial aid will be sent here. To access your Crimson account, simply log in to myBama.
You take proctored tests on-campus or, if you live 50 miles away or farther from the Tuscaloosa campus, at a regionally accredited two or four year college or university.
