Curriculum Revisions for the MA in Educational Leadership

The master’s degree program in Educational Leadership offered at The University of Alabama provides experienced teachers with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully lead our schools in the 21st century.  Faculty from UA’s College of Education worked closely with members of the Alabama State Department of Education to revise the curriculum.  The new intensive curriculum provides experienced teachers interested in administrative positions with a strong foundation in the area of leadership.  Additionally, teachers will enroll in courses on human resource development and ethics.

The MA in Educational Leadership prepares experienced teachers for positions as superintendents, principals, curriculum directors, instructional supervisors, specialists in educational programs, and other education-related administrative career opportunities.

Courses for the program are offered weekends, evenings, and in a web-assisted format which combines face-to-face meetings with online coursework. Students have the option of applying to the main campus program or the program offered at UA’s Gadsden Center. For more information, click here.
