The online Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program is designed for busy and disciplined students entering the information studies professions. Courses are delivered synchronously online via web-conferencing. Students attend live lectures, share content, work in groups, and have discussions with instructors online. This program requires students to make only one visit to the Tuscaloosa campus. Students are required to take six core courses online. After taking the online core courses, students may complete electives online, on-campus, or at the UA Gadsden Center. The American Library Association and the Southern Association of Colleges accredit the program. For more information, click here.
