The MA in Special Education (Collaborative 6-12 Certification) program provides highly qualified bachelor-level certified educators teaching specific content areas at the secondary level with the opportunity to obtain master's-level certification in collaborative (6-12). Classes are offered online, evenings, and in a web-assisted format which combines face-to-face meetings with online coursework. This blended format is ideal for those working full-time. The Alternative MA in Special Education (Collaborative 6-12 Certification) program provides students who hold a bachelor's degree in a field outside of education the opportunity to enter the field of education and obtain initial Alabama Class A certification. In this program, students learn cutting edge teaching techniques while working side-by-side with experts in the classroom. Classes are offered in a variety of formats including the traditional format during the day as well as online, evenings, and in a web-assisted format which combines face-to-face meetings with online coursework.
