Advanced Placement Summer Institute 2013
Welcome to the Advanced Placement Summer Institute 2013. Registration opens February 15, 2013.
The University of Alabama is pleased to partner with the College Board* to offer the Advanced Placement
(AP)* Institute for teachers who are current AP teachers looking to strengthen their program or teachers who are new to the AP program seeking guidance on curriculum and teaching methods.
The Experienced AP Teacher sessions are designed for experienced teachers who have previously attended an introductory AP training session and have taught an AP course for at least two years. The New AP Teacher sessions are for teachers new to AP or with minimal training in AP.
Session I: Tuesday, July 9 - Friday, July 12, 2013

- English Literature and Composition (New and Experienced AP Teachers)
Session II: Monday, July 15 - Thursday, July 18, 2013

- Calculus AB (Experienced AP Teachers)
- Chemistry (Experienced AP Teachers)
- Chemistry (New AP Teachers)
- Environmental Science (New and Experienced AP Teachers)
- Spanish Language and Culture (New AP Teachers)
Session III: Monday, July 22 - Thursday, July 25, 2013
- English Language and Composition (New and Experienced AP Teachers)
- US History (New AP Teachers)
