MS in Human Environmental Sciences (HES) w/ a specialization in Restaurant and Hospitality Management

Worldwide, the hospitality and tourism industry represents annual expenditures of over $2 trillion.  The U.S. Department of Labor Statistics projects a 47% increase in the demand for food service managers over the next few years, and the need for hotel managers is expected to exceed the demand for all occupations in general.

This growing demand for management professionals with a graduate degree in the business sector has led to a partnership between the College of Continuing Studies and the College of Human Environmental Sciences.  To further meet the need of students wishing to advance their degrees, an online master's degree in HES with a specialization in Restaurant and Hospitality Management has been introduced.  This degree is a 30-hour program offering a flexible curriculum.  The degree program builds on the student's undergraduate major by providing specific course work in research methods and courses directly related to a management vocation in restaurants, hotels, or meeting management facilities.
