The Master of Science in HES with a concentration in Human Nutrition is a 30 semester-hour program designed to prepare registered dietitians to practice dietetics at an advanced level and/or to pursue doctoral study. The program develops research skills, stimulates independent thought, and provides up-to-date knowledge in food and nutrition. The master's degree is available through distance education. Classes are offered either online or on DVD.
In addition, a student seeking eligibility to take the national examination to become a registered dietitian may complete the didactic program. This program provides eligibility to apply to a dietetic intership. The didactic program will combine undergraduate and graduate courses totaling approximately 55 semester hours.
