MS in Aerospace Engineering

At The University of Alabama, you can earn a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering (MSAE) in an expanding field where not even the sky is the limit!

Through the College of Engineering, this distance program is flexible and convenient, as courses are available via DVD, online and video-streaming.   Upon enrollment in this program, you will be given access to class lectures via video-streaming or mailed DVDs to your home or place of employment.  Some courses are delivered entirely via the internet.  Examinations are conducted in pre-determined, proctored locations as no on-campus visits are required. These classes follow the same calendar dates of the University's semester system.

The MSAE distance program offered at The University of Alabama places an emphasis on three areas of specialization of the Aerospace Engineering field: (a) flight dynamics, simulation, and controls, (b) flight vehicle structures and materials, and (c) aerodynamics and propulsion. Courses are offered in these areas and in additional areas of Aerospace Engineering as faculty expertise and availability permit. Notable graduates of the program include the Executive Vice President at Lockheed Martin Corporation, a space shuttle pilot, and an astronaut for NASA. Graduates of this program will be well-equipped to compete in the global job market in the aerospace engineering field.
