MA in Educational Leadership

The master’s degree program in educational leadership offered through The University of Alabama prepares experienced educators to work in the area of school administration. Educators gain a thorough understanding of the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the field of educational leadership. They learn to work with students, families, and communities in ways that reflect the dispositions expected of educational leaders. The program content is consistent with state and national standards. 

Students can choose to take classes in Tuscaloosa or at The University of Alabama Gadsden Center. This convenient option meets the needs of educators seeking an advanced degree who live and work in West, Central, and North Alabama. Classes offered in Tuscaloosa as well as at UA's Gadsden Center are led by experienced faculty members from the College of Education.
